On Being Mommy is a space to capture my reflections and share what I'm learning on this journey of being and becoming Mommy, particularly as it relates to balancing it all and staying present. Because these, in fact, are the days, and it's something I want to make sure none of us miss out on.
I'd be honored if you join me in this journey.
Hi! I'm Christina. I am a marketing executive, a wife, and most importantly, a mama to my two beautiful little ones. I love creating, crafting, and celebrating; in fact, designing and throwing the perfect party that uniquely celebrates and loves on someone is one my love languages. I'm a person of faith who believes that Love can absolutely change the world. I mentor and coach young women and aspiring young professionals. And I am also, by necessity, a food allergy mom turned advocate.
On paper, it looks like I have it all figured out. And the beauty of it all is that in hindsight, the story all makes complete sense. But the reality is that we're figuring out this thing called parenting, work, and life as we go along. I had no idea that I would become a working mom, an allergy mom, or even "mom" in general for that matter. I had no idea I would be where I am today in my career, in my marriage, in my spiritual walk, and in my life.
Yet to my babies, I am Mommy. It's a sacred and significant title. It means that I'm the one who's there - who holds hands, who wipes tears, who plays. The one who cooks, who bathes, who sings. The one who teaches, who listens, who hugs and kisses. It is the hardest job I've ever had in my life. But undoubtedly, hands down the best. In fact, it feels like it was who I was always created to be, and I want don't want to miss out on the joy in the journey, no matter what my circumstances may be.
I'd love to share the insights and lessons I'm learning along the way,
in hopes it can inspire and help you in your journey as well.
